11th January 2026 - World Indoor Bowls Championships - Potters
11th January 2026
As the home of World Bowls since 1999, Potters is to bowls what The Crucible Theatre is to snooker, and the Ally Pally is to darts. In January 2026 Potters Resort at Hopton-on-Sea will host the prestigious Ambassador Cruise Line World Indoor Bowls Championships for the 28th time

12 members of Beccles u3a have the opportunity to sail on the historic Wherry Albion for the day, while she is based in Oulton Broad. Experience travelling along the river on this historic Wherry, learning from the crew as well as viewing wildlife, taking photographs and taking in the majesty of this unique vessel.
