Beccles u3a is open to all retired or semi-retired people who want to get the most out of life. We gather to meet new friends, discover new hobbies, reignite interests from the past and to share our knowledge and expertise. Formed in 2014, Beccles u3a has expanded rapidly and now boasts a membership of over 700+ enthusiastic members and over 60 special interest groups.

Everyone is welcome. Our members come from a huge range of backgrounds and diversity is valued. Accessibility is important to us too; we carry out risk assessments at all the public venues we use to make sure they are safe.

Monthly Meeting and Guest Speaker

The Monthly Meeting and Talk is held in Beccles Public Hall where members gather once a month to exchange gossip, hear what the committee has been up to and listen to a talk.

Outings

Trips and Outings are organised to take place from about March to November. Ranging from river trips, days out to local attractions and theatre trips.

Linda Scoles - Wed 16 October 2024 - Journey to UK Citizenship

Linda’s talk is about her "Journey to Citizenship" and the trial and tribulations on the way. "Journey to Citizenship" is Linda’s story of becoming a Dual US/UK National in 2009.  She will give a short history of her background; why she decided to take UK Citizenship; and explain what is involved in becoming a UK Citizen.
