Members on their Own
The MOTO group is a friendly social group. It's for all Beccles u3a members who don't live with a partner, to enjoy doing things in company. We also warmly welcome anyone who lives with a partner with dementia.
Our monthly meeting at the Fox & Hounds Social Club is a great opportunity to get to know each other. In addition, some of us meet informally each Tuesday and Friday afternoon from about 2.30 in the King's Head Wetherspoons in Beccles, in the small room opposite Nationwide. Feel free to join us!.
We also get together for other events or activities. They are proposed and arranged by MOTO members, often via our WhatsApp group. Activities range from simply meeting a new friend for coffee, to walks and lunch, or trips to gardens, cinema, ten pin bowling ... the possibilities are endless.
It isn't essential to attend any of our meetings or activities to be a member of MOTO. It is a large group, covering all u3a age ranges. We currently have over 100 members.
Communication within the MOTO group is by monthly meeting, email and dedicated WhatsApp groups, open by invitation to MOTO group members only.
