Meeting Summary

Pippa, the outgoing Chair, shared thoughts from across the year's diverse activities with recognition for all those who volunteer to keep u3a running. Mu presented Pippa with a bouquet on behalf of all the members to show appreciation for the friendly and steady leadership during her term in office. [Photo D Dungate]
Brian Heard told many anecdotes about his long career with the Metropolitan Police as a forensic scientist. His gallows humour appeared essential to survive such intense and extraordinary experiences. At the same time, it was clear that his long career was built on lifelong learning as science and forensic techniques continually developed. [Photo S Emes]
